| While the use of injectable fillers and muscle paralyzing agents may alter eyelid appearance temporarily in those with very mild changes, full improvement is realized for only a short time, after which it fades away over a matter of months.
While the non-invasive nature of such alternative treatments may appeal to some patients in search of a quick fix, many come to feel that the never-ending expenses, frequent visits to the doctor, repeated periods of recovery from swelling and bruising, and lack of any permanent improvement make this approach impractical.
If changes are more than slight, anything short of blepharoplasty surgery is unlikely to provide much benefit.
