Following his training, Dr. Meronk opened his Southern California practice in Ventura but moved to Oxnard a year later to join the area's busiest ophthalmologist. As one of only three fellowship-trained oculoplastic surgeons between Los Angeles and San Francisco, he was immediately able to devote his entire surgical practice to the subspecialty of plastic and reconstructive eyelid surgery, a milestone that many doctors with similar training never reach during their full careers.

Over the years and after many thousands of cases, his efforts became focused on some of the most difficult and advanced aspects of cosmetic eyelid surgery. Today, his practice serves patients who travel from throughout the United States and beyond.

While a Beverly Hills address does carry a certain cachet, Dr. Meronk lives in Santa Barbara, which makes a Los Angeles office impractical.
