The patient below underwent a more extensive and invasive procedure than most others. While bruising and swelling are somewhat greater than usual, her rate of improvement is typical.

Although some patients will bruise more and some will bruise less, any effect on the final result is minimal.

As with any operation, full healing to the best result will take a matter of months. With blepharoplasty, however, most people feel comfortable about facing others in about 7-10 days.
