Our practice is devoted entirely to primary and revisional cosmetic eyelid surgery. There is no higher level of specialization. We perform eyelid surgery and only eyelid surgery.
Not only is Dr. Meronk Board-Certified in ophthalmology, but he is also one of less than 500 surgeons to have completed an oculoplastic fellowship devoted fully to cosmetic and corrective eye plastic surgery. Since the eyelids both protect the eyes and vision, many patients take comfort in knowing their surgeon is not only trained in the specialty of eyelid surgery but is also knowledgeable about the eyes.
We have no need to rediscover the wheel on every patient. We know what to do and how to do it. We don't need to practice on you, and we don't have to consult a textbook. Eyelid surgery is all we do.
Having performed over 20,000 oculoplastic surgery procedures has allowed Dr. Meronk to amass the insight, knowledge, and judgment necessary to appreciate the subtleties of eyelid function.
In this era of rapid innovation, "breakthrough" modifications in cosmetic surgery appear almost weekly. Many of these "advances" that seem too good to be true are just that; once abandoned, there is little mention of patients who experienced the consequences.
We appreciate that each person is an individual with unique anatomical features and expectations. We are not overly aggressive, and we do not perform stock operations. We are known for achieving results that emphasize natural elegance over glamour.
We cater to one patient at a time in a relaxed setting. While you are in our office, our attention is devoted only to you rather than to you and ten other patients seeking treatment for their wrinkles. Our consultations are highly-individualized, detailed, unhurried, and thoughtful.
We work to keep your expenses at a reasonable level and will not try to talk you into procedures you don't want or need. We maintain our own office operating suite configued specifically for eye plastic surgery and yet much less expensive than a hospital or surgicenter.
Once we care for our patients, we most often never see them again. Our practice thus requires a flow of new faces. Where do our patients come from? From throughout all of California but also from other states and sometimes even distant countries. Why do they visit us when they could more easily be seen elsewhere? Because of our reputation with former patients and other doctors for providing consistent high-quality care.
